How to make my laptop battery last longer

Question:Hi,I recently got a HP Entertainment PC laptop compaq laptop battery. I usually charge it for about an hour or so, but every time after I charge it, it seems like it dies right away. How long should the Laptop battery last? Am I or did I do anything wrong?Thanks!

Answer:Turn WiFi off when it is unneccesary. Lower screen brightness. Turn the sound off. Take out USB drives etc when not in use and choose a power setting to save IBM battery . That should bring you up to 2.5 or 3 hours. If not you should just get a bigger evo n610c battery, evo n620c battery, presario 1200 battery, presario 1800 battery that is compatible with your laptop.
